Rancho Los Cerritos Today
Today, this historic site serves as a historic museum and cultural venue dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of Southern California. The site now serves as an educational space where visitors can learn about the region's Indigenous history, the rancho era, and the development of the Long Beach area. In addition to offering guided tours, this place also serves as a community venue that hosts public gatherings and events that connects visitors to the diverse histories and communities tied to it.
My opinion: "To see exotic plants, not people" I believe turning this site into a venue to host gatherings keeps the place alive and in memory of many, however, it takes away from the serious issues that occurred in this place. People are celebrating their wedding in the same place where others underwent violence and mistreatment.
